See that hat Megan is wearing.
The cutest hat ever purchased at the Great Land of Target.
While in wintery Utah, she wore this hat often.
She wore it ice skating (pictured above) as well as playing in the snow (pictured in the previous post).
One afternoon, while playing in the backyard of Grandma CoCo's and Grandpa Pete's, she and her sweet cousin Abi came up with a new game.
There was a lot of snow...I mean A LOT of snow on the ground. A large snowman had already been built and had been keeping the kids company in the backyard. Megan and Abi decided to play a fun game of hide and seek. Only, instead of them hiding themselves, they decided to change it up a bit and hide their snow gear. They would then have the other find their snow gear in the snow.
It all started so innocently. Hide the gloves, find the gloves. Hide the scarf, find the scarf. Hide the hat, forget exactly where the hat was hidden. Panic. Cry. Express to grandma and aunts that mom is going to be mad when she gets home from the store and the hat is still hiding.
Grandma and Aunts hunt for hat. Not found. Cousins hunt for hat. Not found. Mom comes home. Mom walks through the WHOLE backyard looking at places that look like they've been burial grounds for winter snow gear. Kicks snow around. Not found. Dad takes rake and starts raking snow to find hat. Not found.
Today I received a phone call from Grandma CoCo. The hat finally revealed itself. It was smack dab in the middle of the backyard. It's still covered in ice and snow. She's soaking it. When it dries and makes a full recovery, she's going to send it our way.
Thanks Grandma CoCo for finishing our game of Hide and Seek.
How's the snowman?

The bottom half of the snowman is still standing. I can't believe how long the snow has lasted. It's currently snowing right now. I'm ready for Spring weather.
The hat was buried right smack in the middle of the yard. It was fun to finally see it. I was starting to doubt if it really was out there or misplaced somewhere else. She'll have it soon.
Oh the way things go. I took the kids visiting teaching with me and Ashton went to play in the back yard while we visited. When he came back in, missing flip flop - still missing in action, soon to be found in spring. It was dark that night, and probably lost somewhere in their weed-filled garden.
Thats funny, everytime we were at yur parents I looked out the back window to see if I could see the hat! Im glad its found.
That is really funny. Tell Megan that she's really good at hiding.
