Is it just me, or do others look at their small children and try to predict the future. Their personalities have so much to say about them. If I had to wager which one of my children might try sneaking out when they're a teenager, I think I could get it right.
Megan - NEVER! She's too much of a rule follower. She's sensitive and wants approval. I always joke with Scott that she's going to get us to the Celestial Kingdom. She's the first to let us know if we stumble, even on the smallest of choices. The idea of Megan trying to sneak out wouldn't even come into her head.
Josh - Most would probably predict my little guy. Most don't really know my little guy. He is an absolute joy. Frustrating at times, but definitely a joy. His biggest problem is that he's a little on the Type A side and things MUST be a certain way. If I can steer him in the right direction, I have no worries. He doesn't go into the backyard without asking permission. I don't think he'll be my one to sneak out.
Brooklyn - She continues to amaze us. She walks around this house singing all the time. She is a tease and has a funny sense of humor. She's a crack up. But after yesterday, I'm now worried. My bet is being placed on number 3. See for yourself what she figured out with only a month of nursery under her belt.
And here's where it gets really scary.
After I finished taping this, I left to run an errand. Scott brought the kids inside. Brooklyn immediately picked up the stool and took it back to the door. Scott took her off. He picked up the stool to put it somewhere else. She followed. So he put the stool on top of the washing machine. Brooklyn cried, but problem solved.
All was quiet for about 5 minutes. Suddenly Brooklyn appears with one of the bathroom stools from upstairs. She heads back to the door. Scott again takes her off. He puts the stool on the washing machine with the other stool. Brooklyn cries.
All was quiet again...for about 5 minutes. She suddenly appears with the second stool from the kids bathroom upstairs. She walks slowly keeping an eye on Scott. As soon as she gets passed him, she runs as fast as she can with the stool to the door. And again, the stool is placed on top of the washing machine. Brooklyn cries. She's out of stools. So my washing machine is now the proud owner of 3 stools.
You see why I'm nervous. Although some might be amazed at the appearance of my babies pure genius thoughts at such a young age, I'm already thinking into the future. If she can do this at 19 months, what is she going to be doing when she's a teenager!

She is such a cute little stinker. She is so big since we last saw her. I think you're in trouble with that one!
*Where did you get that tramp? I need one! Tae would love that!
I am dying. Mom just called me and told me about her..or, I called MOm and then she told me..anyhow, I had to come and watch. You are in trouble. She is TOOOOOOO smart. I love you Brookie!!
Jess, I put the info on your blog.
That is hilarious. You are in trouble! At least you know she's smart. Okay but my second favorite part of that video is when Scott gets home and Josh yells "Daddy - I KNEW you would come home!" As if Scott maybe wasn't planning on coming home. Scott, are you spending too much time at work that your kids are now worried?! j/k
She may be trouble, but I would take that anyday over a kid who sits on a dining room chair and whines stuff like, "I can't get down!" I love an independent child. Brooklyn rocks.
She is so smart. Of course, she is my grandchild. However, along with her power of reasoning can come stubborness and determination to achieve the impossible dream. Hers at this moment in time is to get on that trampoline. Now is the time to be prepared for the future. Loved the video.
Okay, I just heard what Josh said....but Deanne beat me too it. That is hilarious!!! I also love Miss Mommy Megs in the background..she is cracking me up!! I also love that when Brookie goes to pick up the chair she says, "Uh oh" and then when she gets the door open she says, "AHHHH".....I love this video!!
