What a Weekend!
Megan asked several days ago if she could have a sleepover on Friday. Not being a big fan of sleep overs, I asked who she was thinking about having a sleepover with. She said that she wanted Josh to sleep over in her bed. So I agreed to a sleep over. This is one I couldn't resist.
Friday night we took the kids out to dinner. We came home and had them get their jammies on. We popped popcorn, hooked up the portable DVD player, and let them choose a movie. They climbed into bed around 8:30. They were so excited.
About 45 minutes into the sleep over, Josh gave up. He crashed so fast and so hard. Poor baby! Megan on the other hand was still loving it (loving having a tv in her room). She made it through almost three movies. Finally at 12:30 I told her I could not stay up any longer to make sure she fell asleep. She gave in about 20 minutes later.
And as all sleep overs go, Josh woke up around 3:00. He came into our room to tell us that he wanted to sleep in his own bed. He must be closely related to his Aunt Becky who never once made it through a sleep over growing up and always ended up back home around that same time.
Way to go Meggie!

Thats cute! When I was little Bobbi and I would call each other from the business phone to the home phone and have sleepovers. This was when my mom wouldnt let us have sleepovers, or we got in trouble and we were grounded. We thought we were smarter than she was but thinking back I bet that was her plan from the beginning. Way to go Megan and the goal! being goalie always scared me.
I see nothing wrong with getting a treat and heading home. Heck by the time you fall asleep you might as well go home anyways.
Um, megs and dal must be related because he keeps begging us to be goalie and I just hate that position!!
