Megan's birthday finally came and we had a great time celebrating! Uncle Drew and Aunt Brooke came for the long weekend. It was fun to have them here with us. As Megan was eating her birthday breakfast (she wanted French Toast), we got a phone call telling us there was a leak in the church and we were only going to have Sacrament Meeting from 9:00-9:45. As I was getting caught up in the idea of 45 minute church, I looked at Meg and she had tears rolling down her cheeks. She was so excited to have the primary sing Happy Birthday to her ON her birthday. Poor baby!
I asked her a few weeks ago what she wanted for her birthday dinner. She thought about it for a few days and then told me: "Hot dogs...and no chicken. Everybody eats hot dogs." So we had everybody over for a BBQ where the main course was hot dogs (with a whole lot of sides to go with it...but no chicken). What baby wants, baby gets.
I love my baby girl! I can't believe she's already 6. It seems like not so long ago that Scott and I desperately wanted to get pregnant and were so thrilled when it finally happened. She is the perfect first child! She is such an angel! She's sensitive and sweet and loving. She's so smart. I just love this little girl so much! Happy Birthday Sweet Megan!
