Lemonade Stand

Friday morning started with Josh jumping on my bed and chair while I was trying my best to stretch out 5 more minutes.

Scott told him to stop jumping on the furniture. He can jump on the trampoline in the backyard.

Josh told him that our trampoline is boring and he wants a bigger trampoline so he can jump higher.

Scott told him to go get a job and then he can buy one.

Josh turned to me and asked if he could open a Lemonade Stand..."by his bedroom because he doesn't want to talk to strangers. They might ask him if he wants candy and then take him. So he just wants to sell to his family."

We had a good laugh and sent him to school.

When he came home from school he went right to work to set up his stand.

I couldn't refuse.

His sign: (one day we'll work on the value of money).

1 penny gets you one glass with no refill
2 nickels gets you one glass and one refill
3 dollars gets you all the lemonade you want.

OR, you can get a glass for free.

He had 3 very happy customers.

In fact, as I was enjoying a glass of lemonade, he told me all about his business plan.
Since I bought a cup, if I come back and he recognizes me, I get a free refill.
He then followed up with, "I'm such a nice guy."

And then the idea took off...

On a rainy Saturday afternoon, Josh reopened his Lemonade Stand. Megan opened a Water and Snack Stand. And Brooklyn opened a mall. (Don't ask where she got that from because I'm afraid I'd have to answer).
