Christmas Vacation Wrap-Up

It has taken me a while to get in front of the computer and organize what happened over the last two weeks.  We had a wonderful Christmas here in California.  We packed up and left early in the morning on the 26th to head to Utah for New Years.  My sisters were visiting (Deanne from Pennsylvania and Sheri from Mississippi).  I needed family time and my kids needed some good cousin time.  We did everything from skiing, ice skating, rock climbing to learning to  play Bunko on New Years Eve.  We ate at all the places I love.  And every minute that wasn't filled with singing American Idol on the Wii was spent talking and having a good time.  I loved it!

Unfortunately we brought a sickie back with us.  Meg got sick at the end of the trip.  So this last week has been filled with taking care of her, unpacking from the trip, putting away Christmas, and managing children that came home to presents they hadn't played with yet and getting them back on a schedule (all while Scott was out of town).  Hence the delay in the report.  So sit back and enjoy the review in pictures:

Santa brought a small trampoline for the kids.  We even had our first accident two minutes in, all caught on video of course.  You might notice a bruise on Josh's forehead in the remainder of the pictures.  (No comments allowed - yes the house insurance is up to date).

It was the year of the doll.  Brooke got 5 babies for Christmas and she knows how to love all five of them.

Josh took 45 minutes to open his presents.  Scott told me he's only allowed 3 presents next year, 4 if he's really good.  He would turn his back to us like this and open up his presents on the couch.  He then would present each opened present to us.

Megan was very patient waiting for Josh to finish.  We have the family tradition that presents are opened from youngest to oldest.

On New Years Eve Day we rented out a rock climbing place.  It was a great place to get some energy out of everyone.  We had such a great time!
