It's Not Easy Being Green

Josh has taken "Being Green" to a whole different level.  Somewhere, he has decided that green is the only color in the rainbow.  At least the only color to care about.  He has to drink out of green straws, eat off of the only green plate in the house, drink out of green cups, and also wear green clothes.  When this phase started, he pulled out the only green shirt in his dresser (his St. Patrick's Day shirt from LAST year) and tried to insist on wearing it every day.  So trying to be a nice mom, I have been on the hunt for green clothing so we don't have to fight each morning about wearing the same shirt every day.  We have even found green flip flops.  Life was getting better, until the other morning...

I set out clothes for Josh to wear.  When I went in his room I saw that he had put the shorts on, but left the shirt on the floor.  I picked up the shirt and pulled the tags off and went downstairs to put the new shirt on him.  As I put the shirt on him, he started to whimper and I couldn't understand what he was saying.  And then it hit me.  I actually had to leave him with Scott and walk around the corner to keep from laughing in front of him.  He said, "Does this shirt make me look like a girl?"  I have no idea how my little 3 year old son suddenly turned into a fashionist-o.  I tried to tell him what a cool shirt it was.  He wasn't buying it.  So we changed him into an outfit that would satisfy his wants.

I think I am going to pee my pants. That is too funny. Tell him Aunt Becky has an obsession with green too. If you asked anyone from high school what my favorite color was..they'd all say green. I wore green all the time. The difference was that I was trying to make my beautiful eyes stand out!!! "I'm so vain..I probably think this song is about me."

I've been singing that tune since Brooke White sang it on AI.

That is hilarious! What a cute little guy. And I think the new shirt is super "handsome"!
