This is Scott making a post. Since my name is on the blog, I should be able to throw down a post every once in a while. So here goes:
Today, February 8, is Debbie's Birthday! I thought it fitting to give her a little tribute because she makes life so wonderful for me, Megan, Josh and Brooklyn. Last night, I was in the play room (which used to be the office/play room and now is the play room with a computer desk built into the closet...but that is another post for another time). Anyway, I was listening to Debbie play with the kids in the kitchen. It was so cute! She was holding Brooklyn while Megan was requesting assistance with making snowflakes. Josh was running from the couch to the stove and back, making a pit stop at the kitchen table every lap or two. I sat back as a fly on the wall to listen to her sweet voice while all 3 of the kids were competing for her attention. I must say that I was overcome with what a sweet, caring, loving and great mother she is.
She constantly amazes me. She takes such good care of all of us, which is not an easy job because at any time, one or more of us is needing attention. I say "us" because I sometimes am in that camp. For example, I have been fighting off a nasty cold. The other night, I had a fever of 103.5 degrees and felt generally lousy with aches all over. If you know me, I am usually happy and can tolerate almost anything...except being sick. I admit, I am not a good patient. When I am sick, I turn into a wuss. Well, I must say that I have never felt more loved or taken care of. I know that it is not easy taking care of 4 little kids (3 kids, 1 husband). Debbie does it very well. She constantly puts our needs ahead of her own. She makes many sacrifices of both time and talents and does it without complaning.
Debbie is truly an amazing woman and I believe that I married way out of my league. I am very lucky to say that I am married to Debbie Peterson!
So please do me a favor: Call, post a comment, or send an email to wish her a happy birthday. She would love to hear from you!

Happy Birthday Debbie! Good Job on having such a wonderful family - we know it takes a lot of hard work and patience!
Way to go Scott on the post.
You are a great mommy! That was a nice little tribute from Scott. I hope you are having a wonderful day and I decided not just to do one of those requests because I am the best sister ever. So, I emailed you, I am posting on your blog, and I will be calling you in a couple of hours!! You deserve to have a great day!! Oh, and the whole sick husband thing...I am truly sorry because I got one of those over here. You are probably a lot nicer than me cause if I have to feel his forehead one more time to see if he has a fever I might scream!!! Anyhow......Happy Birthday to my sister..DeBORah!!!
